Hiya Papaya’s FIRST Photo Assignment!

Jessi and I love taking photographs of people. There is just something special to be said about a true and simple (or not so simple) portrait.

Here are a few we like:

I mean - really … is there anything cuter than a baby taking her first taste of lemon?!

Love this shot of designer Carina Gardner in her studio. Very "a day in the life" style.

 Nothing like a gorgeous bride!

Except maybe another gorgeous bride :)

And beautiful children with eyes straight from heaven

Or eyes straight out of their glasses!

So, folks – the time has come! What time, you ask? Well, it’s 11:11 AM here (Ooh! Make a wish!). But we’re not talking about actual time. No, no sir-ee. We’re talking about the moment you’ve all been waiting for – the beginning of our photography assignments posts.

What exactly is this? Well, it’s YOUR time to shine! It’s time to share YOUR photos with us! (And we’re SOOOO excited to see what you submit!!)

Today’s assignment: Share your favorite portrait!

What to do: Post your favorite portrait image to our Hiya Papaya facebook page

I’ll look through the photos each day and will choose my favorites from the day and then post them on our blog. This will be starting either tonight or tomorrow morning (depending on how many submissions we get this first time around). We will do this for four days and then at the end of the week, we will choose ONE grand prize winner from the entire week and put it up for all to see!

Again – we can’t wait to see what you submit! There are not “rules” to this portrait assignment. You can post color, black and white – anything you choose!

OH! Wait! I totally lied (I’m so naughty!!) We do have ONE important rule. Only ONE submission per day, please. Ope – and another one: make sure you submit only photos you have taken and/or own the copyright to. (Alright, I think that’s it for the rules.)

Thanks, y’all! And … upload away! Ready, set, GO!
