Mike and Holly’s Reception – Part 1

Sigh … I’m going to be sad when I’m done posting about Mike and Holly’s dream wedding!  The entire day was so much fun to shoot.  And it’s been GREAT to re-live the experience through their photos.

Their reception was in Park City – normally, a Utah Winter Wonderland. But this year, NO SNOW!! In the middle of December! We were able to get some fantastic shots outside (WITH VINTAGE CAR – you’re going to DIE!) and it looks like it was the middle of summer. (WHAT?!)

It’s always fun to spend an entire day with a bride and get to snap shots of her “team” helping her get ready:

Holly LOVES vintage.  Her favorite time period is the 1940′s and she knew she wanted her wedding to make you feel as though you’d stepped back in time.  From the amazing decor and centerpieces (vintage suitcases, hat boxes, radios, vases, etc), to the classic cake, to their creative sign-in table and quilts made by her grandmothers – oh! And let’s not forget the vintage candy bar! – Holly’s reception fit her vintage dream to a tee!

And perhaps the BEST thing (at least for us, the photographers) was the AMAZING classic car that swept Mike and Holly away from their reception!  Is this not TO DIE FOR?!!  We even had a bit of time to squeeze in a little photo shoot with it before the reception started.  These photos make me want to get married all over again and rent a vintage car JUST to have a photo shoot EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!  SO FUN!!

Stay tuned tomorrow when we’ll wrap up our posts of Mike and Holly’s amazing dream wedding with their reception, part 2!  See you then!
