In part 3, we bring you three incredible spaces – the entry (because you never get a second chance to make a first impression), the reading nook (because why not?) and the upstairs family room (because I’ll get to that in a minute). The water table where the home owners, Brett and Julie Haskins, built (it is close to the lake), made it so that they could not have a basement. So they decided to put their kitchenette and movie area (what would usually go in a basement space) on the second floor over the garage. It’s such a fun area, combining the aforementioned kitchenette, a place for the whole family to gather to watch movies and a play area for the kids – complete with an entire wall of chalkboard.
If you missed the first two posts of this home, you can check them out here and here. And don’t forget to give some love to the builders Millhaven Homes and the incredible interior designer Caitlin Creer who worked with Alice Lane Home Collection.
What rooms will we post next? You’ll have to check back to find out!
