End of Summer

Last night through my opened window I could hear the faint music of Natalie Merchant playing and the wind blowing. It was kind of eerie. And today I woke up to the sound of thunder and rain. Loved it. These are the sounds of the end of summer.

Goodbye summer, hello SKI SEASON!!! Enjoy today’s Fresh Pic.

Jungle Gym

The city is my jungle gym. Look at this big great world that we’re living in. There’s lots of fun to be had on these streets. We can take a ride just you and me. It’s a jungle gym… The city’s nitty gritty but it’s so much fun. We can take a ride go tell everyone. It’s a jungle gym… These streets have got a rhythm. It’s a funky beat. The more I learn inside the city. The more I learn in me. It’s a jungle gym It’s a jungle gym…

Proof of our Papaya-ness: The girls go to Jack Johnson Concert. Cristi gives Shaka sign in photo above. Jessi wears wooden surfboard earrings (not visible but they’re really there, really). PS The concert was beautiful!

We Might Move

A few months ago we posted an article about our new office building and today we’re happy to announce some new NEWS! The kind folks at Utah-Kane County Diversity Times Weekly wrote another article about us.

Hiya Papaya Possibly Moving To New Office
Building In Salina To Increase Business
(August 18, 2010) Business at hiya papaya photographic services is growing rapidly, so rapidly that they are now considering moving to new and possibly more convenient professional offices. Their plans for growth in 2010 was originally limited to purchasing a nearly new lens-cleaning brush, but they decided to occasionally add polite responses to some requests for information on their photography services. That went so well that they now might be able to move their offices from the newly-renovated office building (which is still in use after a fire last year that left only one post and two beams standing), to a newer location on a street, road or lane with an address that appears on maps.

“Hopefully, our new location will now be on a spot free of nettles and nearer a town with running water,” said Jessi.

The office location they’re looking at right now (below) almost fits their professional needs.

It’s round, it’s within hiking distance of a gravel road, and it’s really quite round. If it only had electricity. But that’s probably a dream upgrade for the distant future,” said both Cristi and Jessi, simultaneously.

The girls are negotiating with the owner right now on the building’s structural integrity (i.e. water-tightness). “The owner doesn’t like our plan to close the building’s only door and fill it with water (just to see if any leaks out; what’s he afraid of?),” said Cristi.
