Autumnal Family Photos in the Lindon Hills

A couple of weeks ago, for my 34th birthday, Jessi took pictures of our little family (I’m feeling so accomplished – I already ordered our Christmas cards printed this year. This has NEVER happened before!) and I got to edit them afterwards. It was a good collaboration for the two of us and I’m really thankful to Jess for doing such a great job capturing us. As I said before, family picture day is my most stressful day of the year. I guess that’s good in a way – it helps me empathize with clients. ;) The colors in the canyon were still gorgeously autumnal (thank goodness we got pictures when we did – it SNOWED the next week!). I ADORE these shots and will treasure them forever. THANKS, Jessi!

Longboarding down Provo Trail

If you’ve ever been a bridesmaid or gone to prom, you probably still have your dress. And what usually happens to it after prom and the wedding? You leave it sitting in your closet for, well, probably until you die. After being a bridesmaid for a friend recently and picking out a $200 dress (which she kindly paid for), and learning that my roommate had about FIVE bridesmaids dresses sitting in her closet, we decided it was time… Time to use our dresses to their full $200 potential! Because why only wear it once? That material is expensive! Surely it’ll last through hundreds of years of use at least. So the other day my roommates and I ‘bridesmaid-boarded’ down provo trail in our fancy dresses. And while boarding down, people smiled, everyone stared, a few guys called us “princesses”, others whistled, and the park ranger told us he’d seen a lot of things on the trail but that “we took first place”. So, kudos to us for taking 1st place in the, uh, wacko category–yeah!
