(I just want you all to know that I have goosebumps right now as I’m writing this and feel tingly inside!)
We are so pleased with the response we’ve received from our beYOUtiful campaign! (If you haven’t heard about it, or if you want a refresher, click HERE.)
For the past few weeks, I have had the pressing feeling that we need to do a photo shoot not just for the winner, but for the ENTIRE top 15. I kept pushing the thought aside because I knew it was not a “logical” or “practical” thought. It would not be feasible to do a free shoot for fifteen women . . . Right?? We wouldn’t have the time or resources to do FIFTEEN free shoots as well as paying gigs . . . Would we?? But the thought re-occurred and re-occured. Over and over and over. And OVER. It would not let me sleep. It would not let me work. The more I thought about it, the more excited I got. Until it felt like it was going to explode from my head!
I knew that my next step would be to run the idea past Jessi. Surely she would think I was out of my mind. I mean, what kind of a crazy team of two photographers gives away fifteen FREE photo shoots? But to my excitement, not only did Jessi agree and think it was a good idea, she thought it was a great idea and enthusiastically offered her help and support!
So, we, the girls of hiyapapaya, are both so so SOOO excited to announce that we are going to give away a free photo shoot to ALL of the 15 finalists in our beYOUtiful campaign!
Yep. You heard that right. We are giving a photo shoot to every single finalist.
We are SO excited for Raylynn who garnered the most votes for her beYOUtiful answer! Because of that, her shoot will be extra special, of course! We will spend an entire photographic afternoon with her and then take her to a fun dinner where we will celebrate her beYOUty. Yay, Raylynn!!
But we also loved and appreciated EVERY answer we received and feel like we would somehow be shortchanging the other women in the campaign if we left them out. So the other 14 finalists will be getting a 30 minute shoot with Jessi and I as well.

And the results are in!!
You guys!!!!! This race has been SO close! NECK AND NECK for a long time! And because of that, I knew I needed to deactivate the voting RIGHT at 10:00 pm. But you’re not going to BELIEVE what happened. My husband and I were sitting in our room, discussing double strollers. I told him, “I need to go down to my office at 10:00 pm so I can deactivate the voting on the beYOUtiful campaign.” So at 9:55 I stroll down there, log into our hiyapapaya account, etc, yaddi yaddi yah. Everything is running smoothly. I remove the “vote” button and click “update” and then… nothing! I just get the swirling twirling “beach ball of death.” I’m like, “Okay, you have GOT to be kidding me. My internet did NOT just go out!!” Jeff, my husband, was immediately “on it!” (He’s so good to me!) He ran downstairs and reset the wireless router. It took us ten minutes, but we got it working again and I was able to deactivate voting. PHEW!! Talk about INTENSE!! In the meantime, I was PANICKING because voting was SO close!! So I took a screen shot of the results of the poll using the 3G network on my phone. Just so there would be no question!
And either way, Raylynn was the winner! BUT IT WAS CLOSE! Chelsy was not far behind her. These two ran a very close race. GREAT JOB, you beYOUtiful ladies!

I can’t thank everyone enough for supporting this wonderful project and campaign. It has been the project of a lifetime. A dream come true. And has expanded into something that is even greater than what I could have dreamed up. I love all of you and you are all truly beYOUtiful!
